When I try to sync my ipod touch with iTunes, only the first song seems to be downloaded, then it just "hangs" for hours
What if you try to not sync that first song and the following song?
What is listed n the status block of iTunes when it freezes?
I have deleted the first song and it still will not move past the problem, It eventually "times out"
Backup to iTunes and restore from backup
I have the same problem. Restoring from back up initially worked, but about a week later it's started doing it again.
EDIT: I haven't found a fix but I thought I would supply some more information, just in case it helps. I've tried running the diagnostic in the help menu, here's the information it finished with:
